DISTRICT 1

Fustian Woods

5th Hunger Games Victor
Age at Victory: 18
Current Age: 55 - DECEASED

Personality:
Thoughtful and careful in his actions and words, he did not want to hurt people because he knew he had hurt many people prior to the Games and during the Games. Haunted by the memories of the atrocities he had committed during the Games, he died of a heart attack during the 52nd Hunger Games, prior to Jasper's victory.

Game Strategy:
Driven by the thought of fame and power, Fustian didn't form any allies and certainly wasn't a fan favourite of either the Capitol or other tributes. As soon as he could, he killed. Starting with the weaker children, he had a temporary state of madness as he tortured his victims before killing them, something that he regretted after and vowed never to repeat anything like that again.

Successful Mentorship:
Coir Oria
Baize Tesra

Coir Oria

8th Hunger Games Victor
Age at Victory: 16
Current Age: 73

Personality:
A recluse, Coir hates contact with people and refuses to speak to anyone. He is dependent on his fellow Victors to survive as he refuses to leave the house, but he will never admit his need for help or thank them. The oldest living District 1 Victor, he is gruff and communicates in points and glares. Often can put up with Dowlas as he doesn't talk either.

Game Strategy:
A lot more animated and a crowd-pleaser, Coir gained many a sponsor when he was in the Capitol who kept him fed and supplied throughout the Games. Having worked out who was his competition in training, he wiped them out first, sustaining several injuries. But these didn't deter him as he continued, determined to not let the Capitol get the better of him again.

Successful Mentorship:
Dazzle Tics

Baize Tesra

23rd Hunger Games Victor
Age at Victory: 17
Current Age: 59

Personality:
Known as something of a legend, especially to the female trainees at the centre, Baize was the first female Victor of the Hunger Games. Spending her time offering help at the training centre, she is slowly deteriorating from arthritis and knows that her movement is being limited. However this doesn't stop her from being as helpful as she can before it become impossible.

Game Strategy:
Posing herself as the helpful one who would provide any relief if things went wrong in battles, Baize had access to a range of poisons and used this supply, which she kept from allies, to poison their food  and kill them off one by one, leaving her still free from blame and rid of her most dangerous opponents which freed her to kill anyone who was still left.

Successful Mentorship:
Dowlas Iscp
Surah Vespen

Dazzle Tics

35th Hunger Games Victor
Age at Victory: 18
Current Age: 48

Personality:
celebrity obsessed, Dazzle enjoys every bit of fame and fortune she has. She won through her flirtation pushing allies against each other.
Obsessed with the celebrity culture both before and after her Victory, Dazzle enjoys every single bit of fame and fortune she can get hold of, often creating drama in District 1 just to draw attention to herself. Needy and slightly clingy, she is only tolerated by the other Victors because she so often volunteers to mentor, something that some of the others are not so keen to do.

Game Strategy:
Flirting massively with all of the male tributes, she had them all under her thumb and found it exceedingly easy to pit them against each other, especially the ones in her own alliance. The girls were not impressed and when the showdown came, she was their first target but she was aware of it and took them out before they had a chance.

Successful Mentorship:
n/a

Dowlas Iscp

41st Hunger Games Victor
Age at Victory: 17
Current Age: 31

Personality:
Unable to speak since birth, Dowlas is very animated in his actions, taking the phrase 'actions speak louder than words' as his motto. Brash and sometimes overly confident, he is a natural leader and very confident of his abilities. While his tributes might take time to get used to his method of communication, they respect his enthusiasm and see his brashness as a challenge.

Game Strategy:
Seen as having a 'disadvantage' by the others, he was accepted into the Career pack based on half of the skills he showed them. Appearing weak to the other members of his alliance and the tributes, he picked off the weaker tributes if they challenged him alone and then picked off his own allies one by one, those who remained not suspecting a thing until it was their time.

Successful Mentorship:
Gloss Tate

Surah Vespen

54th Hunger Games Victor
Age at Victory: 15
Current Age: 26

Personality:
A writer by trade, Surah specialises in poetry and can often be found in the more remote parts of the district, letting her creativity flow. She often writes about the Hunger Games she won as a way of processing what happened to her. Quiet and meditative, she sometimes speaks the way she writes which can be confusing to some, she always makes sense, even if it isn't in a concise manner.

Game Strategy:
Rather than trying to take charge of the alliance, Surah willingly stayed in the back of the pack and watched what the pack did. Going along with the plans, she was deeply affected by the torture that was displayed by her allies but refused to speak up, not risking being killed. When the showdown she had been waiting for came, she surprised everyone, including the audiences, with her style and victory.

Successful Mentorship:
Cashmere Tate

Gloss Tate

60th Hunger Games Victor
Age at Victory: 18
Current Age: 23

Personality:
A family man, he and Cashmere are rarely seen out of each other's sight. He volunteered to protect his sister from the debtors that threatened their livelihood and is very loyal to those that he cares about. Volunteering to mentor as much as he can, he fights every single year to make sure that his tributes have the best chance of coming home.

Game Strategy:
Quickly given the leadership of the Career pack thanks to his natural leadership skills as well as his frighteningly dark angry side that made an appearance in his Games and which he has tried to hide since, he lead the pack on many a hunting spree. Only when there was their alliance and one other left, did he turn and start the fight that only he would come out alive of.

Successful Mentorship:
n/a

Cashmere Tate

61st Hunger Games Victor
Age at Victory: 18
Current Age: 22

Personality:
A gentle girl with a highly competitive streak, Cashmere was well-liked amongst her peers as well as well respected. She continues to train herself as well as train the best of the best at the academy, eager to make sure that District 1 gets a Victor very soon. She can be impatient with people who annoy her but she can also charm her way in and out of any situation.

Game Strategy:
A Capitol favourite, she used her charm and exceptionally good looks to worm her way out of any sticky situations the Career pack found themselves in, which were a few. With plenty of sponsors, she was the cause of the rift in the pack only a week into the Games which was her plan and while they fought each other, she slipped away and used her remaining supplies to survive.

Successful Mentorship:
n/a

DISTRICT 2

Carnelian Lapis

2nd Hunger Games Victor
Age at Victory: 18
Current Age: 81

Personality:
Snarky and bitter, Carnelian is both a hero to District 2 and a bit of a mystery. An alcoholic, he has been drinking to forget for nearly 60 years and hates watching any of the Games, only coming out for the Reapings because he knows that he will be killed if he doesn't. He has no filter on his mouth and does not care if he hurts people's feelings.

Game Strategy:
After the craziness of the first Games, Carnelian accepted his fate that he could die when he was Reaped. Staying with his small alliance, he was the first to make a run for it and move off the plates, grabbing the nearest object that he could find. Determined to get home, he killed as much as he could, not realising the effect this would have until he had won.

Successful Mentorship:
Alexandra Fara
Zircon Mayer

Friday, 10 October 2014

Alexandra Fara

7th Hunger Games Victor
Age at Victory: 14
Current Age: 72

Personality:
A fading hero, Alexandra was once a hero to any young District 2 girl, being the first female Victor. Now slowed down with age, she chooses to be an observer in the training centre and give mental advice, teaching survival skills to the tributes who wanted to learn, which has grown less and less but she feels it means she gets to learn more about the teenagers she teaches.

Game Strategy:
Performing deliberately badly in the training sessions and held in bad disregard by the rest of her alliance, she was suffering from flu during the Games. However she fought her way from the bottom of the pack, killing half of the small alliance she had in the night before running away, choosing to never look back and she hasn't since.

Successful Mentorship:
Iolite Burkin

Thursday, 9 October 2014

Iolite Burkin

13th Hunger Games Victor
Age at Victory: 16
Current Age: 68

Personality:
The first 'Career' Victor from 2, Iolite used to head up the Academy but now prefers to spend her time teaching the younger kids who are slower and are ones that she can catch up with. Smart and calculating, she enjoys a good physical and mental challenge when she can and enjoys puzzling her tributes both on their knowledge as well as their fighting.

Game Strategy:
Staying in the back of the newly formed and extremely volatile pack, she knew that the alliance could be dangerous given that there were trained tributes in the alliance. Sticking close with her District partner, they stood by each other as long as they could before taking down the alliance. It was a close fight between them but her experience ultimately gave her the advantage.

Successful Mentorship:
Danburite Mensa
Larimar Dayim

Danburite Mensa

16th Hunger Games Victor
Age at Victory: 16
Current Age: 65

Personality:
As the current head of the Training Academy in District 2, Danburite is one of the most well-respected people in the District. Ruling with an iron rod, she believes in a military discipline in her approach to how she sees everyone and how anything and everything should be run. Brought up in a Peacekeeper family, she abides the rules like it is second-nature.

Game Strategy:
With a keen eye and a stickler for decisive action, Danburite lead the Career pack with fear and brutality that lead them to terrorise the arena instead of provide entertainment and the Capitol were riveted by the way that they cut through the remaining tributes, almost literally. Her good sense of judgment meant she knew when the inevitable alliance split came and gave her the advantage of surprise.

Successful Mentorship:
Spinel Yaxer
Enobaria Isa

Zircon Mayer

27th Hunger Games Victor
Age at Victory: 17
Current Age: 55

Personality:
Joint head of the Training Academy in District 2 with Danburite, he has no mercy and is often the source of comparison when tributes talk of Enobaria. A harsh critic, he believes that what he is doing is giving the trainees the best education he can give them and doesn't appreciate back-talking or snide comments, believing that all opinions and thoughts should be out in the open.

Game Strategy:
Taking a 'no prisoners, no mercy' attitude to the Games, he lead the Career pack on a charge across the arena to wipe out as many of the tributes as he could before turning on his allies one by one, slitting their throats with no mercy and no explanation. This forced the Careers to split but not before he showed no remorse for his actions and happily fought against his former allies.

Successful Mentorship:
Brutus Jacknife

Spinel Yaxer

33rd Hunger Games Victor
Age at Victory: 16
Current Age: 48

Personality:
One of the biggest fans of the Capitol, Spinel can rarely stop talking about the Capitol and is one of Jasper's most frequent companions on his trips to the Capitol. He basks in the glory that he gets and is one of the few people who can just about stand Larimar. Always looking out for any cameras that might want to capture him, he finds it difficult to be away from the spotlight.

Game Strategy:
With both the Gamemakers and the Capitolites on his side, Spinel knew that he would have an easy time in the arena. Under orders from the President of Panem, the Gamemakers geared his Games in his favour at every turn, without arousing suspicion, and it was a walk in the park for Spinel to get out of the arena alive and well.

Successful Mentorship:
Jasper Crevet

Larimar Dayim

43rd Hunger Games Victor
Age at Victory: 18
Current Age: 30

Personality:
A bully since she was a child, she Volunteered for the Games because she thought (knew) she was better than everyone else. She is generally disliked by both Victors and people of the District for her brash and high and mighty attitude towards others. She spends her time preening herself and making sure she looks good for the cameras. She cares very little for the tributes' she mentors.

Game Strategy:
Although she proved herself to be a worthy tribute and a capable ally, Larimar managed to successfully annoy every single one of the tributes and especially her allies. Eventually they turned on her but her skills outweighed theirs and while some were killed in the process, she was almost fatally wounded before overcoming her District partner who was the last obstacle in her way.

Successful Mentorship:
n/a

Brutus Jacknife

45th Hunger Games Victor
Age at Victory: 16
Current Age: 36

Personality:
While he may seem hard-core on the outside, refusing to show many emotions when he is training the tributes he is actually soft at the core when you get to his good side. He refuses to show any 'lesser emotions' than bold and brutal as he thinks that people will think less of him. Some of the other Victors know of this softer side and they think it makes him seem more human.

Game Strategy:
Incredibly accurate and strong, Brutus was a natural choice for the Academy trainers as their choice of tribute for the 45th Games. Competent with a range of weapons, Brutus took out his foes in the bloodbath from both close and long range. His allies learnt to fear him very quickly and when the final showdown came, it was a wipeout for Brutus.

Successful Mentorship:
n/a

Jasper Crevet

52nd Hunger Games Victor
Age at Victory: 15
Current Age: 28

Personality:
It is well-known amongst the Victors about how much Jasper hates himself. One of the Capitol favourites to 'use' as they please, he reluctantly makes the monthly trips having lost both his parents for refusing the first two times. While they cannot do anything about it, they try to support him and often one of the other Victors will go with him as they know he is on the verge of a breakdown.

Game Strategy:
A smooth talker, Jackson used his words to turn his allies against each other which lead to the quick demolition of the Career alliance which had been very strong and threatening before. Once he had escaped the clutches of the alliance who were on the verge of breaking anyway, he find it easy to weed out the other tributes so he could return home.

Successful Mentorship:
n/a

Enobaria Isa

58th Hunger Games Victor
Age at Victory: 15
Current Age: 22

Personality:
Enobaria likes to push people to their absolute limits, whether that is physically with the tributes that she trains at the Centre, or in their patience if she is annoying them. Often as seen as harsh and heartless, she is feared throughout the District and has trained some of the most promising Careers in the District, none of them actually making it home but many of them coming close.

Game Strategy:
Developing a strange joy in watching people bleed to death as she had never seen before, Enobaria favoured tasting blood for herself as she ripped out tributes' throats, literally, before watching them die in front of her. While this slow process sometimes nearly got her killed, it made her terrifying to both her allies and her foes. A favourite with the Capitol.

Successful Mentorship:
n/a

DISTRICT 3

Tracer Ream

11th Hunger Games Victor
Age at Victory: 16
Current Age: 70

Personality:
Born to complain as much as he could, Tracer is now suffering from dementia due to old age and wants to die as soon as he can but no one will help him as they value their first Victor far too much. He is snappy and thoroughly dislikable, only the other Victors can stand him as they feel they have a duty towards him. Often he will find himself in comfortable silence with Aeolian who he feels understands him.

Game Strategy:
Staying as far away as he could from anyone and anywhere, Tracer left the bloodbath with a short sword and a large backpack. Combing the arena and mapping it in his head, he forced tributes out of their hiding places before cutting them down, determined to get home to his family.

Successful Mentorship:
Elysia Zampha

Elysia Zampha

22nd Hunger Games Victor
Age at Victory: 17
Current Age: 60

Personality:
Well respected by the community of District 3, she loves to look after the poorest in the District as that is where she came from before her Victory. Hard-working and dedicated, she refuses to give up on her bid to make sure that no one goes without a day without a meal, especially the children who she has had a soft spot for. She has seen too many children die in the Games to let them die in the District too.

Game Strategy:
Having grown up on the streets of District 3, Elysia was used to lack of food which came in handy with her allies who were less used to hunger. She was able to ration the food that she found and survived the other tributes simply because she was used to less food. She stole food and supplies which helped draw other tributes away from their safety before her allies killed them. She only made one kill.

Successful Mentorship:
Wiress Wood

Wiress Wood

31st Hunger Games Victor
Age at Victory: 16
Current Age: 50

Personality:
Born with a speech impediment, Wiress has had to learn how to communicate with others through only half of what she wants to say. She is very grateful to anyone who does understand and helps her along her way as she often feels helpless and useless. She is very caring and supportive of anyone who wants pursue what they love as she could never do.

Game Strategy:
A strategist and excellent trap builder, she rigged the arena full of the traps that she built from what was around her and then tricked tributes into falling into the tributes which left them easy pickings to kill from there. Although she was reluctant to kill at first, she realised that she would never get out of the arena alive if she didn't and that was enough reasoning for her to get out.

Successful Mentorship:
Beetee Latier

Beetee Latier

40th Hunger Games Victor
Age at Victory: 14
Current Age: 39

Personality:
Sharp-eyed and observant, Beetee tends to notice things that other people don't, whether that it is technical faults in machines or character traits in his tributes that they didn't think was of any help to them. He is very good at engaging people in conversation and always makes an effort to make the conversation about them as he doesn't like to talk about himself.

Game Strategy:
His extensive technical knowledge became a gift when he was given a large coil of electrical wire. Linking it to the only water source in the centre of the arena, he was able to electrocute and kill all four Careers who were left as well as two of the other three opponents who were left. With only one person left in his way, it was an easier path to victory than some he knew.

Successful Mentorship:
Aeolian Jinx

Aeolian Jinx

59th Hunger Games Victor
Age at Victory: 15
Current Age: 21

Personality:
Seeing the world in black and white, literally, Aeolian is a recluse and is rarely seen around the District. He is only occasionally seen at the market to buy food and then at the Reapings where he is almost forced out as he hates being known as a Victor. All he wanted was a normal childhood and it wasn't what he got, so there is a lot of bitterness bottled up that he hopes will never explode.

Game Strategy:
Refusing to let his sight problem deter him from doing his best in the Games, Aeolian relied on his other senses and instinct to detect what was safe to touch, or eat in terms of the natural food around, before using his knowledge of what was poisonous to kill off his foes.

Successful Mentorship:
n/a

DISTRICT 4

Mags Warer

10th Hunger Games Victor
Age at Victory: 15
Current Age: 70

Personality:
In a constant state of shock, Mags hasn't spoken for nearly 55 years. She prefers to communicate through facial expressions and gestures which has become a very effective method of communication. Adored by her district for coming home, they are patient with her as she is with them and she takes great delight in praising people rather than bringing them down.

Game Strategy:
Her Games slightly duller than previous years, Mags used her position in the newly forming 'Career Pack' to observe her allies and make her moves and judgments from there. Thinking before she leapt, she killed off her allies and foes alike without arousing suspicion which made her a Capitol favourite as they watched as she became the underdog Victor no one expected.

Successful Mentorship:
Lagena Drimpy
Finnick Odair

Wednesday, 8 October 2014

Lagena Drimpy

20th Hunger Games Victor
Age at Victory: 15
Current Age: 60

Personality:
As current head trainer of the Training Centre, Lagena oversees the bringing up of the next leaders of District 4. A born leader herself, she prides herself on bringing up leaders. She is observant and critical of anything and everything and while people take it as offensive, she sees it as constructive and meant only to build people up.

Game Strategy:
Refusing to join the Career Pack, she opted to go solo through the Games, moving by night and killing as many tributes who were sleeping, blind of their impending fate. When it finally got around to the Careers, she was faced with the choice of join them and live a little longer perhaps or fight to the death, the choice for her was obvious and she just managed to escape with her life.

Successful Mentorship:
Coral Blessing
Keagan O'Hara

Coral Blessing

37th Hunger Games Victor
Age at Victory: 14
Current Age: 42

Personality:
Impatient and spoilt, Coral is one of the least favourite Victors that have come out of the Games. She is difficult to work with and full of herself which makes her hard to predict. The Victors have never been keen on working with her but she doesn't have a real idea of this. Despite her personality, her Games were highly successful with the Capitol.

Game Strategy:
Impatient to get the Games over and done with as soon as possible, Coral became very excited by the blood that was being shed around her and threw herself into the Games as much as she could. A potential danger to the other tributes, they tried to get rid of her early which shortened the length of the Games as she fought back and won, giving her a clear path to victory.

Successful Mentorship:
n/a

Keagan O'Hara

44th Hunger Games Victor
Age at Victory: 15
Current Age: 36

Personality:
Fiercly protective of his family, Jackson is proud of his son but often finds himself looking into Bethany's old room, wishing she had come home. Sometimes he is prone to bursts of anger which have frightened his children but Aedan has learnt how to quell it. He is worried about Aedan's mental health and hopes that the voices are just a figment of his imagination.

Game Strategy:
Second in command in the Careers, Keagan was the one to start the break up of the alliance, stabbing his allies in the back, both literally and figuratively. He went on an anger rampage, frightening his allies and forcing them out of their comfort zone before beating them all and finishing the job he had volunteered to do.

Successful Mentorship:
Jackson Leadworth

Jackson Leadworth

51st Hunger Games Victor
Age at Victory: 16
Current Age: 30

Personality:
A social butterfly, Jackson has dedicated his life to training up future Victors and rejoices when he gets one home as he has recently. A staunch supporter of both the Capitol and the Hunger Games, he helps Lagena run the Training Centre in 4 and is poised to take over from her when she retires. He is trustworthy and sticks to his morals without wavering, even if it is controversial.

Game Strategy:
Jackson was an unlikely winner for the Games, having remained very much in the background of the Career pack until the pack split up and he killed his allies which left him with only a few, weaker tributes to kill which he did with ease and no qualms.

Successful Mentorship:
Aedan O'Hara

Aedan O'Hara

63rd Hunger Games Victor
Age at Victory: 18
Current Age: 20

Personality:
Stoic and a family man, everything that Aedan does is in the name of his sister, Bethany. Aedan has the ability to make people feel calm when they are stressed. Since his return from the Games, he has been suffering from voices in his head which hasn't affected anything he has done but he worries that one day he might lose control of something and hurt someone he cares about.

Game Strategy:
The leader of the Careers, Aedan clashed with Florin from District 1 and set his goal in the Games of killing the girl from 6, Luisa Laney, Victor of D6 having killed his sister the previous year. A fair leader, he wasn't the firm favourite of the Capitol but they are learning to love him.
